I love the “ah-ha” moment when I solve a difficult problem or discover something new. I love even more encouraging and supporting others to reach their own “ah-ha” moments. This is why I am excited to be part of the team with Dartmouth Health Coaching and to serve Dartmouth College employees. I received my Bachelor’s degree in clinical dietetics from the University of Connecticut and Master’s degree in Health Education from Russell Sage College, Troy, New York. My adventurous spirit took me to Alaska for ten years where I worked with people of all ages and from various cultures in a long-term care setting as well as dialysis center. In my spare time, I practice and teach yoga, enjoy quilting and photography and look for the humor in all aspects of life.
I remember my first lesson on nutrition was at the age of 10 as part of a gymnastics class. Since then I have always had an interest in health and nutrition. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and went on to complete my dietetic internship and obtain my Master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University. In 2001 I moved to the Upper Valley and worked for many years at DHMC in the bariatric surgery program. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors. I am excited to help Dartmouth employees meet their wellness goals. When I’m not running my 2 girls around to their activities, I enjoy reading cooking magazines, running and family hikes.
After many years working in different aspects of health promotion, I am thrilled to join Iora Health as a Health Coach for Dartmouth College employees. I am a certified Health Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine and have earned a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science. I realized early on that my passion was to work in the world of health, fitness, and wellness, so now have a rich history of developing successful health behavior modification programs that focus on intrinsic motivation and sustainable results. I am looking forward to the opportunity to work closely with you to help you reach your personal health and wellness goals. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children which means lots of day trips, backyard sports, outdoor adventures, and imaginary play.
